Week 29: vaccines, fish, and doodles
Hello everyone!!
Sorry I've missed a few weeks. Pdays have been flying by lately so I'm going to have to do a quick rundown of everything that has happened.
1. Transfers! I stayed with my companion Sister Lecheminant and we have a brand new missionary in the apartment named Sis Smith. She's super fun and is assigned to Oslo, Norway and she's from Vegas!!
2. Our ward share stayed the same and we are having a blast with Elder Crow and Vause!
3. We've done a ton of good service! Scrubbed a disgusting kitchen in a house where it smelled so bad our eyes burned, pulled hundreds of weeds, moved a bunch of boxes, and painted a ton of walls. Good times.
4. Taught some really good lessons. We've hit a little but of a lull but we are working hard to get more people to teach. Its hard, but its fulfilling.
5. Played tons of pickleball!!! It is the way and I'm prepared to go against anyone when I get home
6. IM FULLY VACCINATED WOOOHOOO
Ok now onto the segment we like to call...I hope my mission president never sees this. Soo...last pday we were coming up with ways we could prank Elder Crow and Vause since we have a key to their apartment. How we obtained that key??? I'm afraid I cannot disclose that information but to make a long story short we bought 10 little minnows from the store. We tried to get even more but the petco worker was not having it soo we settled 10. That night I swallowed one whole as a dare and the rest we put in the elders bathtub. It was a pretty solid prank but yah Elder Vause was not too happy with us haha. Good times in the Springfield zone.
I'm really enjoying live here in Oregon. I'm exhausted 24/7 and I hate Facebook finding with a burning passion but I know in my heart that this is the Lord's work. I have a very strong testimony of this gospel and I am grateful everyday that I'm trusted to share it with those around me. I haven't been finding a lot of success but thats ok. I know that I'm planting seeds each day that will one day be fruitful and that if I have enough faith, I'll be able to see some of the fruit.
I love you all. Thanks for the support. I can't wait to keep sharing my adventure with you all.
Love,
Emma
