Week 25: vaccines and poker
Helloooo!!!
How is it pday again?? It is so true that on the mission the days feel like weeks and the weeks feel like days. It's pretty crazy to think that I'm already at my 6 months but at the same time it also is crazy to think I'm ONLY at 6 months.
This was a really good week. I had a lot of fun. The biggest highlight of this transfer and area is that we are in a ward share with elders. They are such a blast. Its so bad but when we get together to correlate for the week...it usually ends up being all of us playing Catan. I am not complaining though. I love the moments where you feel like a normal person. I was pretty excited because Elder Crow and Elder Vause taught me how to play poker. As a Vegas native, that's definitely a skill I needed and should have had sooner lol.
Highlights of the week!!
1. We had zone conference! We combined with another zone which meant I was able to see my friend Aubrey! I hadn't seen her in so long since we were friends when I lived in Cali. It was so good to see her!
2. I got my first vaccine!!! By some miracle, the pharmacy just so happened to have an extra when I asked and I was given it right then and there. It was so awesome that it worked out and its always good to follow the prophets guidance!
3. We (unfortunately) got blizzards 3 times this week
4. We got Texas Roadhouse after zone conference with all the sisters. Such a party.
5. We got to do a lot of good service this week with some awesome members. The Wendts had us over for service and they made us lunch which was amazing.
6. We went to the Hammonds for dinner last night! They are so fun. We had the most delicious food and we played ultimate Frisbee and kick the can and ghosts in the graveyard. I was in a dress and went barefoot for most of it so you can imagine how that went lol.
Anywayyyyyssss, I'm loving life here in Springfield. Its a good place and I'm so happy with my area and companion. The Lord's work is hard, but its rewarding and I can't imagine myself doing anything else. I love and miss you all. You know the drill remember to pray, wear your mask, say your prayers, and to get vaccinated!!! Follow the prophet!!!
Love you guys,
Sister Crouch
