Week 9: Servin in Sutherlin

Hi everyone!!!

What a fun week. We did a ton of good stuff and I had a good Christmas and hope you guys did too! My Facebook is still hacked so I think I'm just going to make a new one at this point so please accept my friend requests 🤩

Anyways I'm getting transferred to the Central Point zone and I'm pretty sad about leaving Sutherlin and Sis Nuttall but I know that is where the Lord needs me so I'll suck it up. If I'm being honest COVID missionary life is so hard and there's not a lot of success and teaching where I'm at so I'm hoping that this new area will bring new opportunities for me.

Ok today was such an adventure and I hope my mission president never reads this because he would be so mad lol but anyways we decided to drive the 65 miles to Toketee falls and it was sooo pretty. Its so beautiful here in Oregon and I know I got my call here for a reason because man it is my favorite type of scenery out here. Moving on so we got lost a little bit trying to find the waterfall trail and we have limited miles and we forgot to gas up before we left so we had less than a quarter tank of gas. Our solution: we slammed that sucker into neutral, shut off the car, and just cruised for a few miles since it was all down hill lol. Then we took the wrong the turn and legit started driving on a trail that was covered in frozen mud so we had to hurry and get out of that. After that we found the parking and had a blast at the falls but then we get back to the car and remember we have basically no gas or service. We had about 20 miles on the range so we said a prayer and started driving. Oh my gosh we drove for so long just running on fumes because we finally gassed up 45 miles away from where we started at this rinky dink gas station but THE LORD PROVIDED!!!!!!! Moral of the story, trust in the Lord... and gas up your car before driving to a national forest.

Highlights this week!!

1. We got to do white elephant with the zone and we had all the sisters over at our apartment on Christmas!

2. I made up with the cat and his/her name is Theo.

3. We got to paint Sister Dessaur's new bridal shop and eat Christmas dinner with her in the rain since we can't eat in members houses.

4. Me and Sister Nuttall raked a ton of leaves

5. I ate half a cup of mayo for a zone challenge. NEVER DO THAT IT MADE ME SO SICK
