Week 7: Servin in Sutherlin
Hey everyone!
The weeks are starting to feel so short that I literally can't remember half the things I did but thats ok, I'm glad things are moving fast.
This week was my first zone conference which was super fun! I love hanging out with all the elders because when you live with 3 other girls....you need a break lol. Anyways we had a great time and I got to see our President and meet his wife in person which was cool. We went to Cooper Creek after conference and I filmed my story for the stake page so that should be coming out in a few weeks do keep your eyes peeled. It was super funny because we weren't able to wash out car the day before ZC so me and Sister Nuttall got up bright and early, got ready, and headed to the car wash. We didn't want to ruin our hair so we wore some handy shower caps to protect from the Oregon frizz that's inevitable.
I also had my first exchange this week which was a blast. I brought Sister Fawson, one of our sweet STLs back to Sutherlin and we had a lot of fun together. Its always nice to switch things up so I was grateful we were able to do that.
Yesterday was so busy but I am just glad we have enough things to do. We did our usual two sacraments, missionary correlation, and taught our weekly lesson with Sophie who is in the ward and gets baptized this month. I was able to zoom in and teach young women's for my ward back at home which was super cool. After that us missionaries were able to talk in the Sutherlin ward Christmas devotional and that was great too.
Later last night we had to do the dreaded challenge our zone arranged to we can win back our belt that has President Weekes face on it. Our social media sisters are holding a competition each week for what companionship contributes the most content and whoever has the most points wins the belt. We did the bonus challenge last night which was singing Baby Its Cold Outside while taking a cold shower in our proselyting clothes, while eating something spicy or something cold. Good times.
Well, I think about you guys all the time and hope everything is going great! I love you all and hope you are doing Light the World.
XOXO
