Week 6: Servin in Sutherlin

 Hey guys!


This week flew by, which is super nice! It was a typical covid missionary week with a lot of service, some member lessons over video, and creepy guys Facebook messaging us. You know the vibes. Sister and Nuttall and I are straight beasts at raking leaves so don't be shocked if I come home absolutely ripped lol

One of the coolest things we did was we went to go serve Laurie who is a lady in our ward. She called us saying she needed help cleaning up her property so that they could sell it. Let me tell you, when Sister Nuttall and I got there our jaws were on the floor. They had so much scrap metal, wood, toys, trash, and animals just everywhere. We looked at each other like how are we going to do this but about an hour later 4 elders and the zone leaders showed up and we were able to get so much done for her which was awesome since her husband is a trucker and isn't home a lot to help. You could just see the weight come off her shoulders which was so cool. 

Friday was great since the covid restrictions were lifted a bit which means we could have district council in person which was so fun. With 4 sisters in an apartment I am constantly surround by estrogen so its nice to hang out with the elders. They are super fun and chill so I am pumped to hang out with them every week. 

We were actually able to go to church this week and our ward does a meeting for 60+ and another one for for everyone else so we were able to go to both. I got to go to ward council and that was so dope because I was like wow I am an adult now and they actually want my input, this is pretty cool. They need to watch out because if they let me do too much I'm gonna have to make some changes around here ;) 

Well hopefully I have more for you guys next week. Let me know if there's anyone I can pray for and remember to read your scriptures and say your prayers hehe. Love and miss you all!

  Hi guys! Hope you guys all had a great week! Our week was so busy but if was nice because we got so much done. I am really starting to get in a groove of missionary work to the point where I hope I get to train next transfer because I think it would be a blast! We are keeping busy with tons of service and member lessons which is good! Its nice to get out of the apartment and feel useful.  Highlights of the week! 1. We got to have interviews with President. He probably thinks I'm bonkers but he was laughing the whole time so I think thats a good sign hehe 2. We got to teach a new person David! He is super cool and really nice so we are hoping to continue our lessons.  3. We got to do a tour of the Laie temple with our friend Jeff. Week 13: Let's get this bread

Heyy everyone! This was another really good week. I can't remember half the things we did but that just means we stayed busy :) I finally feel like I'm getting into the groove of things and we are getting a ton of new missionaries next transfer so I'm hoping I will be able to train soon.  Highlights this week!! 1. We served at Butte Creek Mill in Eagle Point with the zone which is a historic mill that burned down.  2. Sister Hill filmed a video story so we got to hang out with the social media elders again. They are super fun to be around and they were able to join our member lesson yesterday.  3. We didn't get enough members to share posts this week so we had to brush our teeth with flour, salt, and pepper as punishment. It was gross but not as bad as eating the half cup of mayo.  4. Week 12: Me and Sister Hill in Gold Hill pt 3

  Helllooo!!! It was another good week!! We had a lot to do and it was just overall a super busy week! We had a lot of miracles this week and did a lot of service which is fun!  Highlights!!: 1. We had zone conference on Wednesday which is super fun. Its always good to be with all the other missionaries and to see President and Sister Weekes. It was in Grants Pass which is super pretty! 2. We went to Jaspers and got the Jiffy which is a burger that has peanut butter, jelly, bacon, and provolone. It was divine.  3. We got to go the pear farm again...but the Sisters got stuck with scrubbing floors  4. We got to help film Sister Thueson's (Bishop's wife) video and it was super fun to hangout with the social media elders.  5. We played volleyball at mutual with the young women and I may or may not have gone easy on them. (Hint: I didn't hehe) 6. We got to walk a dog!!! His name is Winston and he's so sweet.  7.
